Starting school is an exciting milestone, but it can also be a big adjustment, and sleep plays a huge role in helping children feel settled, resilient and ready to learn.
Just as sleep is vital to us as parents, children who get continuously good sleep also benefit from stronger immune systems, improved mental wellbeing and better concentration, emotional regulation and behaviour.
Children thrive on routine, and healthy sleep habits can have a powerful impact on their mood, confidence and overall wellbeing, both at home and in the classroom.
Our School Starters Workshops are being held on Thursday 16th July at 9.15am-11.15am and 7:00-9:00pm and will cover:
• Why sleep matters for children starting school
• The science behind good sleep
• How to spot the signs of sleep deprivation
• How poor sleep can show up at home and in school
• Common bedtime challenges and how to manage them
• Practical routines and strategies to support better sleep
You’ll leave with tried-and-tested, evidence-based tools you can start using straight away to improve your child’s sleep and support a smoother, more confident transition into school.
