If your child is starting school this year they should be getting around 12 hours of sleep each night to enable them to learn, function and grow to their full potential.
Just as sleep is important to us as parents, children who get continuously good sleep also benefit from healthier immune systems, better mental health and tend to have fewer problems with behaviour. In fact, children thrive on regular bedtime routine and this is evident in their general mood, ability to concentrate, ability to regulate their emotions and overall wellbeing.
In this workshop we will cover:
• Why sleep is important to your school-goer
• The science behind good sleep
• How poor sleep manifests at school
• Implementing a sleep routine in time for September
• Dropping the nap (if still relevant)
• Sticking to your schedule throughout the holidays/abroad
• How to deal with behavioural challenges around bedtime.
We will also provide you with tried and tested strategies and routines that you can implement immediately to support a successful transition in September.
