Age 6 weeks - Sleep Foundations Plan
“I can’t recommend Simply Sleep enough! I wish everyone was told about them when they have a new baby. We got in touch with Emma when our baby was 7 weeks old. As first time parents we had NO idea what we were doing; when should baby sleep, how long for, how do we get her to sleep in the first place?! We used to have to stand in front of the extractor fan in the kitchen and rock her to sleep, and then we often couldn’t transfer her to her bassinet/cot, so she’d have to sleep on us.
Emma gave us a routine for both day and night, and it immediately transformed our lives. It’s so easy to follow; I really don’t know how we managed before (and it even still allowed for those lovely contact naps if they happened, especially in those precious first few months). Knowing how long baby should be awake/asleep, how to structure those wake windows (even down to when to feed), and how these change as baby gets older. It really is so straightforward, and our baby has been absolutely thriving.
We’re able to put her to bed awake and she self soothes herself to sleep. Anyone who has been at the house when she has gone to bed have been so shocked whilst watching on the baby monitor screen as she’s gone from eyes open to fast asleep in minutes without so much as a murmur. Some have likened it to a party trick, something they’ve never seen in their lives, but that’s just how it should be! Others say “you’re so lucky!”, but it’s not luck at all, it’s just learning about the science. I do feel blessed and am so grateful that Emma taught us how to get to this point naturally. It didn’t require any “cry it out” methods either- which is great because my partner and I are both equally soft!
We recently stayed over with family, and we were apprehensive about how our baby would sleep in a travel cot in a strange bedroom and a completely different environment, however we were so happy to find that it didn’t change her sleep one bit; she slept just as brilliantly as always. Emma’s methods have really set us up for life!
We’ve had a couple of blips along the way, which could be explained by natural changes/developments in her sleep as she’s gotten older (she’s now 7 months), and Emma has always been there to help and quickly get things back on track. Our baby naps for the right amount of time in the day when she’s supposed to, and sleeps 7:30pm until 7:30am (and I breastfeed so don’t believe the talk of formula feeders being better sleepers).
I really can’t thank Simply Sleep enough, and I advise anyone with a new baby to get in touch with them (or at any stage! Having done it though, we do think the earlier the better; why would you lose sleep longer than you need to?!). Age 10 months & nearly 4 years - Sleep Transformation Plans
"We first reached out to Emma to help with our youngest. We knew they needed to move into their own bedroom, but having years of no sleep with our eldest, we were reluctant. And I guess I'm a little scared to get it 'wrong'! We booked a consultation call (these are ideal if you're on the fence and want to ask Emma questions. Especially as it's only £10, which is taken off the package if you proceed - win win!) And we started the plan a few days later.
Fast forward 1 month since starting the plan, and he slept 12 hours, no feeding to sleep and in his own room. And, 5 months on, he's still fully in a routine - which we have tweaked along the way, with Emma's guidance - thank you!
As we were so pleased with how successful the plan was, we decided to tackle our eldest sleep. Again, fast forward a month, he now goes down by himself, stays in bed most nights, and wakes up with the owl (gro-clock). We do have some testing times, but we mention certain tactics/rules from the plan, and it's like magic!
We now have an evening to ourselves and actually have more than a few hours sleep for the first time in 4 years!

Our little boy was waking up to 6/7 times a night, looking for his dummy, which resulted in a very tired mum and dad!! Within just a few days on the plan our boy was sleeping through the night and self settling without his dummy. We can't believe how quickly he adapted!

"I am the first to admit that I am very sceptical of websites with reviews that show amazing transformations of a nightmare-night-child to angelic 12 hour sleeper, so it took a lot of thought to decide to contact... and aren't I glad I did!
My 2 year old slowly became worse at sleeping. We would have to lie down with her in bed, tickle her head, give her a dummy, milk, play music, have lights on, sneak out, only for her to be awake within an hour.
The health visitor couldn't offer any advice apart from waiting and watching. However, a few months before her 3rd birthday, it got to the point where I hated my life and started hating being a mum. She would wake up and scream and scream and scream if she didn't get her own way. I even tried having her in my bed; it worked for a week but then she started waking in the night, chatting to me, demanding drinks and food, and go wandering around. Me and my partner hadn't slept in the same bed for months. But it started getting dangerous when we found her going downstairs in the pitch dark at 2am looking for us.
I decided to tackle it myself after research and try a tougher approach. I had a stairgate put on to keep her safe and tried all the techniques I found. They didn't work. It seems the stronger I was, the stronger she became, and subsequently we went through one whole week of zero sleep. Nursery reported she was tired and zombified and I felt ill, depressed & lost. My older daughter was upset at hearing the screaming from her sister all night. I was desperate and needed a change.
I then found this service. Again, I felt sceptical but I was desperate for anything that could help. I made contact and had a phone call with Emma. I told her that even if I could get my daughter to just go to sleep for a couple of hours so I could sleep a few hours too, I would be happy. But Emma told me we are going to aim for 12 hours of sleeping, by herself, no dummies or music.
Day 1- As much as Emma tried to put my mind at ease and explain the science, psychology, techniques and experiences of others (that have had a full night sleep within a few nights of starting the programme), I still felt that my child would no way ever do this. But I was willing to try as dedicatedly as was in my power.
By night 8- she slept through the whole night.
Don't get me wrong, the first 7 nights were so hard and there were times I ranted to Emma that I could not see how this was ever going to work. But she offered constant support, advice, and confidence boosting that just empowered us to continue.
Within the first week, my daughter went from devil child to getting into bed and saying goodnight. Then we could just leave the room. Since night 7, we have had more 12 hour solid nights, and some where she woke once or twice but went straight back to bed herself- no fuss, I don't even have to get out of bed.
It has been 2 weeks since finishing the plan and at bedtime, there are no tears, no tantrums, no delay tactics- she gets into bed and goes to sleep. We now have a whole evening to ourselves, get to sleep in the same bed, don't hear screaming echoing in our heads, and wake up feeling happier!!
We still have a bit more of the journey to go through until we are at a constant 12hour sleeping routine but regardless, we have our lives back now and I really wish this support was advertised & encouraged more by health visitors and doctors. It improves mental health, physical health and relationships between parents, children & marriages.
We have raved about it to our friends (they have seen the amazing difference) and we will definitely contact Emma again if we have another baby to do the baby sleep plan!! We no longer dread the sleepless nights of having a baby as I now know that it's avoidable. Thanks Emma for your help & support; fingers crossed we keep improving!"

Age 6 months - Sleep Transformation Plan
"Wow….What an amazing company! Yes, we were sceptical at the beginning thinking surely we can’t turn our Sofia’s sleeping patterns around in 10 days. BUT it’s possible people; Simply Sleep has simply transformed our lives.
After 10 days of professional, personable and timely guidance Sofia now sleeps 12 hours a night and naps on schedule for the time she needs to support her growth and development. As first time Mummies we knew parenting would be a learning journey but always felt supported on things like feeding etc! But sleep training was something completely alien; needless to say this led to us establishing ‘bad habits’ so to speak. Like feeding the baby to sleep; driving her around in the pram/car for naps. Running to her in 100m sprint like fashion every time she cried!

"Our little boy has never been a great sleeper and was never great at self soothing since he was a baby. After he turned 2 this got extreme with multiple wakenings throughout the night, relying on us to fall back asleep and 4am starts to his day. It was starting to affect our lives, our work and our health.
We got recommended Simply Sleep by a member of the family and we decided we had nothing to lose.
Emma immediately filled us with hope and support from the word go. She was filled with knowledge and experience and straight away we felt optimistic that there was a way of changing all his sleeping habits. Age 19 months - Sleep Transformation Plan
"We contacted Simply Sleep after nearly a year of Primrose waking every night and needing to join us in bed as our only way of getting her back to sleep. She was reliant on mum or dad cuddling her to sleep with a dummy and a bottle. Her wake ups were getting earlier each night and Primrose often would be unsettled in our bed tossing and turning with nobody really getting a good full night's sleep. Naps alone just weren't a thing, Primrose needed cuddled to sleep or driven in the car.
At 7 months pregnant it was time to get this sorted. Primrose needed some routine and we all needed some quality sleep ahead of the new arrival.

"Prior to using Simply Sleep services, a typical night's sleep would have us up between 4-8 times a night. A bad night would have us up every 45 minutes to an hour and would usually involve one of us sleeping on the floor, no pillow, no blanket, just to get a couple of broken hours sleep. We tolerated this as the norm, until we noticed a negative change in our child's behaviour, energy levels and general interaction with us.
We didn't believe anybody would be able to help us, and thought we left it too late to get help. However, worried about our child's change in behaviour we had to do something.

"A normal night with our little one involved him waking every 45 minutes to an hour and requiring props and mummy to get back to sleep. At some point each night he’d end up being brought into our bed where he’d use mummy as a human pillow, wake regularly and generally be very unsettled all night! It was very exhausting and not good for any of us.
As he approached his 2nd birthday I felt desperate and when a friend recommended Simply Sleep to me I decided to take a chance.
After our initial consultation, a tailored sleep plan was put together for us. Admittedly, I was a little anxious about the changes ahead but I needn’t have been as Emma was amazing from the get go. Age 12 months - Sleep Transformation Plan
"When I contacted Simply Sleep our little girl was reliant on being breastfed to sleep initially and then throughout the night when she woke - sometimes every 30mins/1hour. We ended up bringing her into our bed most nights to try and allow us all to get some sleep which wasn't an ideal situation.
I was apprehensive about starting the sleep plan as I had a preconceived idea that sleep training would involve leaving her to cry for long periods of time which I wasn't happy with. Emma listened carefully to my concerns and designed a plan which allowed us to remain in the room and support her sleep initially, which I was a lot happier with.
She now settles herself to sleep quickly and sleeps for 12hours a night. If she does wake during the night she is able to quickly settle herself back to sleep. "I reached out to Simply Sleep when Lily was about 5 months old . I had started to make some changes to Lily's routine but didn't have the confidence to implement anything before knowing exactly what I was doing. She had naps in the sling a lot or cuddle naps and I was struggling to teach her some Independence which worried me. She wasn't able to sleep longer than one sleep cycle for naps (other than in a sling) or evening sleep, and the sleep deprivation we were all experiencing was becoming unsustainable. I was nervous and anxious at bedtime knowing I was going to be awake feeding or rocking to sleep every hour.
I was becoming worried lily wasn't getting the consolidated sleep she needed and deserved especially as she had hit her 4 month regression with a bang!
Emma knew I wanted a gentle plan for Lily and she made a step by step guide to help her feel confident to fall asleep on her own. Within a few days Lily was in her own room, being placed in her cot wide awake and able to fall asleep without me! For naps and bedtime! I couldn't believe it and still cant!
We've now got a lovely routine , she naps like a rockstar (sometimes I have to wake her when she stays asleep!) and I don't feel anxious or stressed putting her to sleep at bed time because she's confident to self settle. I actually still chose to feed Lily once throughout the night which I love.
The skills we have all learnt have meant my other family members have now been able to take her to bed which has given me some more of my own time and flexibility back. I feel confident that lily can still 'nap on the go' and transition back to bedtime in her own cot which is lovely as it's not realistic to have all naps in her cot.
In all honesty I was reluctant to start a 'plan' for my child; I felt I'd let her down because I couldn't teach her to sleep! But I put my pride to one side and put Lily first and can honestly say it's been a game changer for us all, especially Lily. Thank you Emma."

Thomas had never been a good sleeper since being a baby, we would have times where he could wake up 15 times a night and needed lots of attention from us to both go to, and stay, asleep.

"Our daughter Faye was never a good sleeper but we found as she got older the things that had helped us get sleep were now preventing us from getting it. We rocked her, cuddled her, gave her a bottle and put her in bed nearly asleep, but when her brother came along we realised that we couldn’t keep sitting in her room until she fell asleep, or taking her back to bed and re-settling her up to 3 times in the night, and we couldn’t keep getting up at 5.30am with her every morning. We were just too tired.
We contacted Simply Sleep for help, sceptical that we would ever be able to get Faye to sleep 12 hours straight through the night but we thought the help we would receive would improve our situation whatever the results. "After 9 months of sleepless nights I had exhausted all options in encouraging Lucia to sleep through the night. I'd unknowingly developed bad habits and was just about managing to get through each day with 2-3 hours sleep. I constantly compared our routine to others and felt like I was failing as a mother. The night waking got worse and I gave her milk throughout the night, knowing she didn't want it but not knowing what else to do.
A friend suggested Simply Sleep, at first I was sceptical as I had read articles about such programs and felt it was just a money-making-game, oh how I was wrong!! Initially Emma and I discussed Lucia's routine, habits and personality. She described what a sleep plan looked like and we established what we would aim for in terms of Lucia's sleeping, both day and night.
When starting the program I was nervous, I wasn't sure if I had it in me to let Lucia cry, even for the 10-minute maximum discussed, or if I'd made the right amendments to her sleep environment. I wasn't even sure if I'd be comfortable being in a different room as I had developed a habit of sleeping on her floor, but we gave it a go. On night 1 I didn't have to go in the room once to comfort Lucia and I woke up amazed. "I’ve always loved my sleep and when I was pregnant other mums always joked about the lack of sleep... I laughed off at the time. I quickly realised after my little boy was born that sleep deprivation isn’t a laughing matter..
I was told ‘he would grow out of it’ but we were approaching his second birthday and still surviving on 2 hours sleep. Honestly, it was hell and I had to do something about it as we were all so miserable going through the daily motions just to survive another day.

“Before my 14 month old son Archie and I started working with Emma, I felt like he was the WORST sleeper ever... I was at my wits' end doing just about anything to get some sleep including sleeping in his crib with him.
He was completely dependent on nursing to sleep, and waking up every 2-3 hours to nurse back to sleep. My husband and I were sleep deprived, resentful, and just complete and total Zombies.

"We contacted Simply Sleep for help with getting our 2 year old's sleep back on track after a brief period of him being poorly and then starting nursery. "We were amazed at how quickly our daughter’s sleep transformed once starting our plan with Emma.
Having read several books on baby sleep we thought that we had a fairly good idea of what we were doing and just had a baby that didn’t like/need as much sleep. It turns out we were wrong!
In a matter of days we went from being up several times a night, sometimes for hours at a time, to our daughter sleeping 6.30pm to 6.30am.
